Artist Statement
It seems my work is ever evolving and growing. Inspired by people, nature, moods, weather, vintage photographs, and more, I use paint to tell a story. The figure is strong in my work, I am drawn to painting people and telling their stories and perhaps my own in the process. Whether from my imagination or an old photograph, it is through a subtle mood or gesture that I am conveying a sense of remembrance or contemplation. A moment or memory. Whether it unlocks a personal story or a universal one, I enjoy the exploration of the paint above all else.
