Elizabeth Bauman Newsletter October 2012, Volume 23
Greetings! I have a new group show to share in addition to several new paintings and illustrations.
For October 2012, the Mary Lou Zeek Gallery will be putting on their annual Face the Public show. Each artist will paint a section of a famous painting selected by the gallery. This year's painting is above; it is Vincent Van Gogh's Bedroom in Arles. My section is the upper right corner and I'll be working on that October 9th from about noon until I finish at the gallery. Each of the artists will also be showcasing some of their own work. The reception for the show is October 3rd from 5 to 7pm.
This is my new painting you will find hanging in the show:
Still Life with Rudy's Feathers, Acrylic on 12 x 16 inch wood panel.
Detail.
New paintings
I recently added 10 new paintings to my shop. I am not going to list them all here, instead just a sample, but you can see the rest in my shop.
Rhododendron abstract, Acrylic on 16 x 16 inch wood panel.
Oliver Balkaner, Acrylic on 5 x 7 inch wood panel.
Spring flowers, summer storm, Acrylic on 12 x 12 inch panel.
Hobbit Update
I am still working away on my Hobbit illustration project. My goal is to complete it by the end of November and as I'm up around 180 with approximately 120 left to go, I think I can manage that. Here are a few of my recent favorites (and if you'd like to see more, please visit this link on my blog which has the most recently shared illustrations):
