My show at Tilde in Portland, Oregon, was a lot of fun. Thank you so much to everyone who made the trip to see it. I heard there were a lot of visitors who came specifically to see the paintings, I really appreciate the support! I packed the remaining paintings up earlier in the week and they are now in my Etsy shop.
I do not have any paintings to show you this month as I have some in progress, but none completed. Next month I should have a few to share. I am doing a new series of paintings loosely titled "The world as they imagine it". I have an idea of what I want to paint, then I pick a person in a vintage photo to go into the piece, and then I just let it go from there. Colors, images, backgrounds just form as I go, change quite a bit, and are often influenced by the person I'm painting. The influence of spring is strong right now and the color choices are quite bold. Looking forward to sharing these new ideas with you soon.
Meanwhile, I do have one thing to share. I have started doing some embroidery work and have a lot of ideas so I hope there will be more to come. I do not have a title for this piece yet.
And finally, a special discount. 25% discount in my Etsy shop that will be good through the end of May 2010. Simply fill up your cart in my shop, so to speak, and finalize the sale but do not pay. Then, e-mail me (through my Etsy shop or firstname.lastname@example.org) with this special discount code: EBAPR10 and I will send you an updated invoice through Paypal.
I have a lot of paintings in the shop right now and a few more to go in throughout the month, so there are many to choose from.
